What are smart meters and how does the PowerTab work with them?
Smart meters record your electricity consumption in real-time and automatically send this information back to the utility. Traditional electro-mechanical meters keep track of only the total amount of electricity you use over your billing cycle. The PowerTab receives your real-time consumption information wirelessly from your smart meter and presents it to you in an easy to understand format, allowing you to more closely manage your electricity use and support conservation initiatives.

Is the PowerTab available for sale?
The PowerTab will be commercially available to utilities beginning in Q2 2009. Energy Aware's exclusive distribution partner for the PowerTab in North America is Comverge Inc.
